Cellular GPS GSM/GPRS Modems
StreetTrek Application running on the client's PC receives AVL data over the Internet. From the client prospective it does not matter what kind of hardware generated original GPS data. However AVL hardware has to be compatible with StreetTrek Server. Contact our consultants about available GPS equipment for your vehicles.
We recommend GSM/GPRS modems. These devices are compact, reliable, relatively inexpensive and can be subscribed to major cellular carriers.

ModemManager
(.NET 2.0 not required)
GSM modems require specific programming before they can be deployed. This can be somewhat of a challenge in absence of dedicated programming software from the equipment manufacturer. StreetTrek developed ModemManager programming software for Enfora™ MT-GL series modems. You can download it by clicking on one of the download links.
Download on the left includes Microsoft® .NET 2.0 Runtime. The link on the right offers more compact setup -2.2 MB, but requires Microsoft® .NET Framework 2.0 or higher on the target PC. You may contact us for further details.

UHF/VHF Wireless Modems
StreetTrek™, StreetTrek™ Explorer, StreetTrek™ Server provide native support for Raveon™ RV-M7 series UHF/VHF data modems.
Raveon Raveon's RV-M7 data radio modems are high-speed FCC certified data radios designed for telemetry, SCADA, AVL, wireless data, mobile-data and remote control applications.
The internal GPS ( GX option) enables the M7 to transmit its position, data, and status (voltage, speed, heading, temperature, I/O bits..) at pre-set intervals using either conventional carrier-sense methods or with efficient TDMA channel access. A GPS tracking system built with M7 transceivers, can track up to 20 radios with one-second updates or 200 with 10-seocond updated. The M7 is the fastest most efficient UHF AVL radio available.
Two-Way Radio with GPS Module
Besides processing data acquired over the Internet, StreetTrek Client and Server can also process GPS data from local wireless devices, including Motorola MOTOTRBO™ Professional Digital Two-way Radio System.
Motorola Application Provider
MOTOTRBO
MOTOTRBO™ digital radios provide superior audio quality and support Data Applications such as Location Services and Text Messaging. MOTOTRBO™ Radio models that can be used with StreetTrek are Motorola XPR6550 portables and XPR4550 mobiles. Dispatch radio is connected to a PC running StreetTrek Client or Server via USB Interface Cable. StreetTrek Client/Server configuration allows multiple StreetTrek Client Applications to receive Location Updates from a single StreetTrek Server running on a PC with the base radio attached. StreetTrek Server and Clients do not have to reside on the same network. In addition to serving Location Data, StreetTrek Server also processes MOTOTRBO™ Text Messaging Data. Contact us for details about available solutions for Motorola® MOTOTRBO™.
